Girl on Fire! Madison VanDenberg our local teen American Idol hopeful, brought fire, a rockin' new look and impeccable vocals to the stage during "Queen" night last evening on another live show of American Idol.  Proving once again that she literally can sing anything, the humble teen from Shaker High School now has just five other contestants to beat and a few shows left before she's officially (we hope) crowned as it's queen.

Performing "The Show Must Go On" by Queen, fire lit up the stage while guitarists wailed away midway through the 17-year-old Cohoes teen's song.  Sporting a rockin' hair-do, Madison had the look of pure determination as she crushed the high notes, glaring into cameras on her way to advancing to the top 6 of Idol.

Following the first of her two her sterling first performances, VanDenberg appeared to let out a brief 'sigh' as if to acknowledge that this wasn't exactly the easiest week of competition for her.  Queen boasts a large resume of impressive and powerful vocals, and some artists simply don't have the chops to pull it off.  Madison did.

While many of her schoolmates watched along during a viewing party at Shaker High School, Idol judge Luke Bryan commented on how this may have been her best performance yet while Lionel Richie added that her voice was 'impeccable'.

It's on to the final 6 for this girl on fire.
