World-renowned singer Chris Cornell, who fronts Soundgarden and, formerly, Audioslave, has been chosen to perform at Muhammad Ali's 70th birthday celebration, which will take place Saturday, February 18 at MGM's Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

It's a month and a day after his real birthday, but hey that just makes for an even bigger party that will be grand enough for the entire 31 days late that it's happening. Who better to perform than the legendary Chris Cornell!
