Celebrity Owned New York Candy Shop Named Among Best In US

We all have our favorites. Favorite band, favorite meal, favorite season. You get the idea but when you have a place that is everyone's favorite you have found something special. There is a New York State candy shop that has been named one of the best in the nation and that's not the only reason it's famous.

USA Today recently announced their 10 Best Candy Stores Across the United States and this Hudson Valley location made the top 5! Is that because this store is owned by Hollywood celebrities or is it just that good?

USA Today started with a panel of candy store experts and then turned the voting over to their readers to determine the best candy shops in the country. Only 1 New York store made the list and that is Samuel's Sweet Shop in Rhinebeck, sitting at #5 on the list.

Not only is the candy selection great at Samuel's, this shop is now as famous as it's celebrity owners, actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan, actress Hilarie Burton Morgan and actor Paul Rudd are co-owners, which is well...pretty sweet!

In 2014, with Samuel's of Rhinebeck in danger of having to close, these three celebrities joined forces with others to purchase the store and keep the original owner's dream alive. Today the store located at 42 East Market Street is known as Samuel's Sweet Shop and you never know who you will run into there.
