Apparently the actor has been seen lurking around the area lately.

Remember last year when those two dudes pulled a total Shawshank and managed to finagle their way out of the Clinton Correctional facility? Well it looks like the story maybe headed to Hollywood where Ben Stiller could quite possibly be starring in or making a movie about the whole insane escapade.

Just a quick refresher for you ... On June 5th, 2015 two inmates at the Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora, NY managed to make a break for it by digging, sawing, and cutting their way out of the prison. If remember correctly there was a lot going on with this story because while the duo managed to avoid being caught for nearly a month details started to emerge about just how these two got out. Like one of them seducing a married correctional employee and convincing her to bring in supplies and act as a getaway driver. (I guess I could kinda see the Hollywood appeal.) Anyway, things didn't end so well for the escapees (or their accomplices). The correctional employee ended up confessing and getting arrested then a couple weeks later, per NewYorkUpstate.com :

Matt was killed by police June 26 during a search in woods 30 miles west of the prison. Sweat was shot and captured two days later in the same area while heading toward the Canadian border.

Well, apparently actor and producer Ben Stiller has been spotted in the area over the last week and he supposedly told some locals that he was in town "doing some research for a movie". Some of the residents of the town told the local news that they saw the actor peeping out the manhole that the two prisoners escaped out of. Then he was spotted again in Malone posing for pictures at the same restaurant the correctional worker ate at before the prison escape.

Coincidence?!?!? Ummmmm sounds like a movie is happening to me! I'd probably watch it, when it comes out on Netflix. What do you think? Is there a movie happening? Will you be checking it out in theaters?
