Beck is ready to get back on the road.

As the veteran singer-songwriter continues to tinker with his next studio album, he'll take a break to spend part of the summer on tour. The newly announced dates pick up July 9 in Telluride, where he's scheduled to appear at the Ride Festival, and continue through Aug. 27, where the tour is set to conclude at Musicfest NW in Portland, Oregon. The trek, which currently consists of 11 dates in all, will also include stops in Canada and the northern United States. You can see the itinerary below and get ticket details at his website.

Beck's summer performances seem likely to help him further iron out the kinks in his long-gestating new LP, which was previously pegged for a fall 2016 release date — and that was after he "got rid of half of it and started again" earlier in the year. Offering an update on his progress last summer, Beck said the album's sound was strongly influenced by the "life-sparking" pleasure he'd recently derived from touring.

"It’s a summer night, people have their hands up," he explained of the record, which has since been teased with the singles "Wow" and "Up All Night." "It’s a communal, celebratory thing. I wanted to take that into the studio, a kind of energy or joy. The thing that wakes you up a little bit."
