Another Hollywood Couple Calls It Quits
It was announced earlier this week that celebrity couple Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz are going their seperate ways. Ashlee filed documents in LA Superior Court, claiming that "irreconciable differences" was the reason for the split.
Singer and actress Ashlee Simpson and Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz have been married for two and a half years, and have a two-year-old son, Bronx.
The couple dated for about two years, and got married in May of 2008 at Ashlee's family home.
As for their son, they hope to share custody, and ask to be left alone to deal with the divorce privately, for the sake of the relationship and for Bronx:
After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to file for divorce," the couple said through a spokesperson. "We remain friends and deeply committed and loving parents to our son Bronx, whose happiness and well-being remains our No. 1 priority. We ask that everyone honor our privacy as we navigate this next phase of our lives.
Well there goes another marriage down the drain. It seems as though celebrities these days just take marriage as a toy, and when they get tired of playing they throw it to the side. It seems as though every celebrity just goes off and marries who ever's available at the time just so they can get more attention, and when the media dies down they die as well, and start the process all over again. It's sad, but it's a Hollywood reality. Let's see how long it is before both Ashlee and Pete are in new relationships.
