Another one bites the dust. Just 24 hours after the news of Steven Tyler's departure from American Idol arises, the show is now going to lose the feminine and beautiful Jennifer Lopez. She announced today that she will also be leaving the show. Is Randy Jackson next, and who will take over for Tyler and Lopez?

According to the article, Lopez is ending her two-year love affair with the show so she can focus on her own work:

Lopez broke the news to "Idol" host Ryan Seacrest on his radio show.

I really was dreading this phone call with you, she told him. I honestly  feel like the time has come that I have to get back to doing the other things  that I do that I've put kind of on hold because I love 'Idol' so much.

The fact that Tyler made the plunge pushed Lopez to do the same:

I can't even imagine anyone else there right now because I've just spent two years sitting next to him, she said. I love Steven, and we became close during  that time. We were a great support for each other, on an adventure that neither  one of us knew what it was going to be. So it's hard to hear that he won't be doing it.

Big "dawg" Randy Jackson is riding solo for now, but as the 12 season of "Idol" approaches (January 2013) it's clear that he may be taking on a different role with the show, one that is not yet decided or definite.

These changes could very well affect the ratings and popularity of the show, but don't worry, host Ryan Seacrest isn't going anywhere yet, as he just renewed his two-year contract with "Idol."

For now, the rumored replacements are Mariah Carey and former "Idol" runner-up Adam Lambert, who has gained a lot of fame since his television debut.

Who do you want to be a judge on American Idol?
