It was the mid 80's and you couldn't turn on radio without hearing songs from the band Scandal. Songs like 'Goodbye to You' and 'The Warrior' were a staple in the early days of MTV with Patty Smyth dancing in a red dress. Tonight Q103 is sponsoring Patty Smyth & Scandal performing a free show for Alive @5 at Albany's Riverfront Park in downtown Albany. Opening local band Sirsy takes the stage first at 5pm.

Tonight will be a hot, sticky and muggy night at Alive@5, it's also a great night for a little bit of nostalgia as Patty Smyth & Scandal will be rocking the Corning Preserve.

Patty Smyth who is married to tennis star John McEnroe, was a rock icon in the early 80's then went solo in 1987. Her biggest song was with Don Henley called 'Sometimes Love Just Aint Good Enough' In 2004, Scandal appeared on VH1's Bands Reunited and since then have been touring. Along with Patty are two original members Keith Mack (guitarist) and Benjy King (keyboardist).

Don't expect all old music from Scandal and her solo career tonight, expect to hear some new music as well. Overall tonight should be a fun Alive@5!

Tonight will be hot, make sure to have your sunscreen and be aware of the following ground rules.
