My oldest musical idol Alice Cooper has been dominating the music world for decades, and has basically had a big hand in shaping rock and metal music into what it is today. Now, Cooper is going to be a movie star aside from actor Johnny Depp in an upcoming Tim Burton film. Who's excited? I am!

Cooper will be playing a small cameo part in Tim Burton's film Dark Shadows, which is a movie version of the classic television show. He will be playing a part that is right up his alley:

The Los Angeles Times reports Cooper will serve in an entertainment capacity in the film. How so? Well,  Johnny Depp stars as vampire Barnabas Collins. The film is set in 1972 and the recently revived Collins will hire Cooper to play a private ball at his seaside home in Maine. Who better to perform at a vampire’s ball than the one and only Alice Cooper? Nice work Barnabas!

Also starring in the film will be Burton's wife Helena Bonham Carter, who always stars in his films, along with actress Michelle Pfeiffer.

This won't be Cooper's first film role. In the past, he has played parts in movies such as Nightmare on Elm Street: Freddy's Dead, Prince of Darkness and Horrorween.

The film is scheduled to release in May of next year.

Witha film crew including Cooper, Burton, Bonham, Depp and Pfeiffer, there's no doubt in my mind that it will be amazing! I can't wait to see it!

Are you a Cooper fan? Are you interested in seeing the upcoming film?
