Now obviously I live in New York so I know why people always want to leave the state. This, however, makes me wonder.

How does Albany rank so high? People bash it all the time. I love it! It has all of the typical things you expect from a big city, without really being all that big. It has the nickname "Small-bany".

Livability.com ranked it number 29 out of 100 for best places to live in the United States. They get to that conclusion based off of a few factors. Ones like economics, housing, infrastructure, demographics, sociability, education, and health care.

We rank pretty much middle of the pack on most of those statistics, except for infrastructure where we rank exceptionally high.

What you cannot rank is charm though. Livability.com sure did a great job at trying, read why they think Albany is so great here.
