An Albany police dog bit a car was employee on Tuesday.

According to The Daily Gazette, a police officer brought his car to Golden Arrow Car Wash on Central Avenue around 2pm to get washed, and when an employee opened the patrol car door, the the dog exited the vehicle and bit another employee after getting startled. The man got bit on his left arm and was treated at Albany Medical Center for two puncture wounds. No names involved in the incident were released. As per department policy, the K-9 will now be evaluated by an outside agency according to police.

Last week we reported that Albany got a new police dog. Since no names were released involving the incident, there's no word on whether or not the dog involved was the new K-9 that we reported about previously. Unfortunate incident which hopefully won't happen again.
