Albany Movie Times – Here’s How to Find Them
You know the drill - you're bored and you want to go see a movie, or perhaps you're excited about the latest blockbuster film. You make the decision to go to the theater and then the question happens; what time is the movie? Fortunately for you we've had this happen to us often enough to inspire us to compile a list of how to find show times and the theater closest to you. Check our list and let us know if we're missing anything!
Regal Crossgates Stadium 18 & IMAX
Albany's most popular theater, mostly because it's at Crossgates Mall. If you're not a fan of going to the mall perhaps try a different theater on our list. TIP - grab dinner at the Standard before the movie.
Regal Cinemas Colonie Center Stadium 13
Colonie Center is a lot classier but it's still a mall. TIP - Hit Buca di Beppo before the movie for a great dinner.
Regal E. Greenbush 8
If you live in the Greenbush area or perhaps Troy, Wynantskill, or Rensselaer, this is a great option for you.
Regal Latham Circle Mall 10
It's well known that the Latham Circle Mall is a ghost town with perhaps two stores left, plus the movies. If you don't like people then this is the place for you to go see a movie. Extra points for the old, plastic seats that say Hoyts.
Regal Clifton Park Stadium 10
Then there's Clifton Park - which is the same story as Greenbush, except this one is great for Schenectady, Mechanicville, etc folks. We love the 99 Restaurant before this one. Or Buffalo Wild Wings. Or Both. Nom Nom Nom
Regal Cinemas Wilton Mall
We've never been here although this used to be another Hoyts. Not sure if there are bonus points for the plastic seats with the old logo but if so then score one for the 1990s!
Spectrum 8 Theaters
We are lucky to have this local, independent theatre! Actually we have more than one fo them (see below) but the Spectrum is a great place to catch an independent film or even a local flick right on Delaware Ave - aka Lark Street for Adults
Madison Theater
If you don't mind dealing with the parking around St. Rose (it's not that bad)
Bow Tie Cinemas Movieland
This place is way awesome - it's pretty classy too. Right in downtown Schenectady there is plenty of dining and this theater feels very comfortable and classy. Definitely a treasure.
