Actor Corey Feldman visited Albany today for a good cause.

According to the Times Union, actor Corey Feldman was in the Capital March 14 to press for passage of the Child Victims Act. The proposed law would give sexual assault victims a one-year period to file a lawsuit against their abusers. The 46 year old actor, who is a survivor of child sex abuse himself, spoke at an 11am rally today. The measure would extend the statute of limitations for prosecution of sexual abuse crimes. Way to go Corey! We hope the proposed law goes through.

Feldman was a star of 80's movies like The Goonies, Stand By Me, and The Lost Boys. He wrote a memoir in 2013 called Coreography which recounted the sexual abuse he went through in the 1980's. In addition to acting, Corey Feldman also has had a music career releasing several albums over the years. His last album Angelic 2 the Core was released in 2016.
