Today is the 5th of May or Cinco De Mayo. The day we all celebrate Mexico. Besides drinking Mexican beer or Margarita's, we also eat! I have the perfect simple recipe for making my "KILLER TACO'S" and it only takes about 20 minutes to prepare and cook.

I call these Killer Tacos!

Ingredients
1 lbs of meat 80%
1 box of Old El Paso Stand and Stuff Tacos
1 package of Ortega Taco Seasoning
1 eight oz bottle of Ortega Taco Sauce Medium Heat
1 cup of thinly sliced romaine lettuce
2 large red tomatoes cut in small chunks
1 cup of shredded Cracker Barrel extra sharp white cheese

Heat oven to 350 degrees then brown meat in a large skillet approximately 5-7 minutes.

Meanwhile heat tacos as stated on box in oven.

Once the meat is browned drain the grease using a stainer, put meat back into skillet then add taco seasoning packet, and pour on top of meat approximately a 1/2 cup of taco sauce.. Stir in and combine, seasoning and sauce and let the liquid boil off. Meat, seasoning and sauce will become thick like a paste.

Take shells out of oven, add 1/4 cup of meat first then 1/4 cup of cheese to allow the cheese to melt,  followed by the 1/4 cup of lettuce and 1/4 cup of tomato. Top with more taco sauce to warm shell.

Why not add a simple Margarita to quench your thirst.

Ice cubes
3 ounces tequila
2 ounces freshly squeezed lime juice
1/2 to 1 teaspoon orange liqueur or triple sec
1 tablespoon Lime-salt-sugar

fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add tequila, lime juice, and liqueur. Cover and shake until mixed and chilled, about 30 seconds. (In general, the drink is ready by the time the shaker mists up.) Place Lime-salt-sugar on a plate. Press the rim of a chilled rocks or wine glass into the mixture to rim the edge. Strain margarita into the glass.

To make it a frozen margarita, add all ingredients to a blender and blend on high.

Happy Cinco De Mayo!
