This story is exactly like the movie "Catch Me If You Can," except for it’s absolutely nothing like it.

A car was stopped for speeding on I-87 yesterday and the state trooper who conducted the traffic stop claimed to smell marijuana in the vehicle. According to the TU, the police found a small amount of marijuana, along with several forged checks. The driver and two passengers of the car were all charged with possession of a forged instrument.

I imagine they also learned a valuable lesson in forgery that if you are going to do it, do not use checks because people will immediately become suspicious of you because no one uses checks anymore.
