Guns N' Roses have quite the legacy, not only musically but for their extensive partying as well. The band has received many honors over the years, and frontman Axl Rose was recently saluted at the Revolver Golden Gods Awards. Before the show, our own 'Loudwire Nights' host Full Metal Jackie caught up with Black Label Society leader Zakk Wylde to discuss what made Guns N' Roses stand out from the rest.

When asked about GN'R, Wylde humorously responded, "[They had] more hookers, more strippers, more cocaine, more heroin and more alcohol than any other band, and no other bands could hang with them. None of them, and therefore they were declared the obvious winners and the obvious champions. That's why we love them.'

Zakk knows his Guns N' Roses, as he was once called in to try out for the band when they were undergoing lineup changes in the '90s. He didn't get the GN'R gig, but obviously still has a lot of respect for them.

Check out Jackie's full interview with Zakk Wylde, in which he talks about his "immortal beloved," the arrival of the 'Catacombs of the Black Vatican' album, his Golden Gods performance and touring with Down, in the player above.
