A solar flare that happened on Friday may indeed be bringing the Northern Lights just a little bit south. Keep an eye out tonight as they may be present.

Ahh, the beauty of science. I am not to sure as to how exactly all of this stuff happens but do know how beautiful the northern lights are. That is all I care about in this instance. A sight usually reserved for the northern most points of the globe may appear in the night time sky this evening.

According to the Daily Gazette the best time to gaze toward the stars to see this is between midnight and 2 A.M. in the morning. Hopefully the weather stays decent to make it a possibility however we are looking to be partly cloudy with a minor chance of rain for the night time in the Capital Region. Either way, if you are interested in looking just keep your eyes peered north.
