If you want to make sure that your fur family stays with your family into the afterlife, it is now legal in New York State.

To be honest, I wasn't aware that up until now it was literally illegal to be buried with your pets. I mean pets are part of the family to. They are in your life sometimes since their infancy and you take care of them and nurture them and love them. I could see how once they passed you would want them to be close even after they've (and you've) gone.

Now I'm not sure why there was a law in effect in the first lace that prohibited being buried with your pets ashes but apparently there was. However, according to the TU on Monday Gov. Cuomo signed legislation allowing you to now be able to do so in not-for-profit cemeteries.

The new law is in effect now but will take some time to implement and there are quite a few specifics that go along to being buried with your pets ashes. If you want to get more information on how to go about it you can check that out HERE.

On a side note, can someone explain to me why that there is legislation going on regarding this matter and yet we can't seem to find some way to come to terms with things that benefit the living? Like maybe getting Uber available throughout the rest of the state? Can we make that one happen next Cuomo?
