One of the best matchups of the baseball season is between the New York Yankees, and New York Mets. The Subway Series. The Junior Varsity, against the Varisty.

Heading into Sunday nights game between the Yankees and Mets, R.A. Dickey was all the rage. He had been un-hittable. Back to back one-hitters, and gave up no earned runs in 40 some odd innings. As a Yankee fan, I knew he was due to be roughed up.

The Yankees brought Dickey back down to Earth. They tagged him for five hits, and five earned runs. Nick Swisher really took the wind out of the sails with a three run homer in the third inning. The Yankees would go on to win the game 6-5.

Now, the question is can Dickey bounce back? Will he continue to be a bright spot for the New York Mets team? I hope so. I know a lot of met fans, and I really hate seeing them disappointed each and every year. Keep your heads up Met fans, it's not even the all-star break. You still have a chance to do big things, and then no doubt collapse horribly come September.
