WWE is reporting reporting today (March 3) that wrestling legend Bret 'Hitman' Hart is now cancer free.

We reported last month that Hart made the announcement about his cancer diagnosis on his official facebook page and it was posted to his website. He stated "I've had a great lifelong dance and I'm a survivor of many hard battles. I now face my toughest battle. With hesitation and fear, I openly declare myself in my fight against prostate cancer. In the next few days, I will undergo surgery, with the hope of defeating this nemesis once and for all".

Great news today as I am longtime fan of Bret Hart and pro wrestling.  "The Hitman" is truly on of the best, and I'm happy to hear that he is healthy. He accomplished many achievements in his 23 year wrestling career including world championship titles and tag team titles with partner Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart as The Hart Foundation.  I had the opportunity to work in ring with Bret about 5 years ago in a wrestling angle with independent stars Vik Dalishus and Hale Collins at a NEW (Northeast Wrestling) event. It was one of the greatest highlights for me in my life. You can check out a news report covering that event courtesy of Cablevision below.
