World’s Worst Stripper Wants $50K for Cutting Off Her Thumb
This stripper’s performance gets a big sawed-off thumbs down.
A 35-year-old woman from Roxborough, Pennsylvania is suing Delilah’s Den gentleman’s club after she severed a thumb while she rehearsed during Delilah’s G-String Competition back in 2011.
Sarah Berry – who, with a name like that should really use a first name like Straw, Very or Juicy when performing – was preparing with something called a “half moon aerial apparatus” while she rehearsed her routine in the hopes of winning the $10,000 grand prize. The accident occurred when a sharp edge of the apparatus cut off her thumb. She underwent surgery, although it’s unclear if the appendage was re-attached or if she can only give a high-four for the rest of her days.
Berry’s lawsuit said the club never made sure the device was safe nor did it warn anyone about the dangers of using an apparatus perhaps better served by the Grim Reaper.
Berry is now looking for $50,000 (in singles?) for "pain and suffering, disfigurement, humiliation and embarrassment" -- not to mention the havoc the experience wreaked on her ability to effectively hitchhike.
Berry isn’t a professional dancer (duh!), but decided to compete in the contest after a friend her encouraged her. Wonder if they’re still friends.
