We Americans pride ourselves in being world leaders. Well, we have some work to do in one dubious category.

Travel + Leisure asked readers to rank the world's unfriendliest cities, using a wide array of criteria ranging from culture to people's civility. Coming in at number one? Moscow, where every Vladimir, Boris and Dmitry give sneers, cut you off in traffic and scoff when you ask for directions.

Coming in at second place was the US' own Atlantic City, home of Boardwalk Empire and once the stomping grounds of Donald Trump (who can certainly be unfriendly himself).

A.C. leads a stampede of cities that bleed red, white and blue. Six cities in the US made the top 10, proving we just might lead the world in being rude.
