Woman Tries To Use Counterfeit Money; Printed On Home Computer
44-year-old Kelli McClain should be inducted to the Dumb Criminal Hall of Fame thanks to her recent scheme. She was printing counterfeit money on her home computer.
Pasco Country Sheriffs were tipped off about the counterfeiting scheme by Kelli's mother-in-law, who gave them clippings that were thrown in the trash.
Police got a search warrant and raided McClain's house. There they found several counterfeit bills. McClain admitted to police that she had been making the fake bills in order to purchase food. She passed the bills off a area gas stations and supermarkets.
She was arrested and shortly released on $5,000 bail - which we are sure the police double checked the money for authenticity.
