In Putnam County, a woman recently called 911 because she heard what was thought to be a man screaming for help. Police showed up and what they found was not a man at all.

The woman called 911 and even the dispatcher could hear the "cries" for help in the background. Police arrived and they heard the "cries" as well. They began to investigate the matter and found the source of the cries: a goat, tied to a fence.

Police contacted the animal's owner and the owner took care of the animal. Police returned to the caller's home to explain what happened.

This isn't the first time goats have sounded like humans. The craze has been caught on several YouTube videos and last fall, police in Putnam County were called to another incident where a goat caught in some brush was crying for help and it sounded human-like.
