A major snow storm is expected hit the Capital Region Tuesday heading in to Wednesday, which will result in a messy morning commute and school closings.

The National Weather Service has issues a WINTER STORM WARNING for the area from Wednesday at Midnight through 6 PM.

According to NSW, we could see 8-12 inches of snow with 12-15 inches in the higher elevations. Snow could reach an inch an hour during the peak of the storm which will be during the first half of Wednesday.

Look for the snow to begin to fall late Tuesday night. This will no doubt effect the morning drive to work and possibly the drive home as well.

Stay tuned to Q103 for the latest weather and traffic updates, as well as school closings.
