Albany may not have the impressive skyline of big brother Manhattan, but Manhattan doesn't an egg shaped building.

Now there are going to be plenty of locations I will end up leaving out and for that I ask your recommendation. I can think of two places that are amazing. Both beautiful views to watch the 4th of July fireworks that go down in the Empire State Plaza. Now of course you can see all the standouts themselves in the plaza seeing as the skyline is all right there.

The photo above is a view from the Sports Grille in East Greenbush off Route 4. This is a standout to me for its foliage in autumn, its majestic view when covered in snow and its position to see fireworks in July.

The other location that sticks out to me may not be as pretty, but that is just due to the surroundings. If you are travelling down Oakwood Avenue in Troy by St Mary's Hospital you get a clear view of the Albany skyline. I remember riding in the car with my parents here when I was younger and being mesmerized that you could see a city that is miles away clear as day.

What is the best view you know of Albany?
