The ongoing debate over legalizing Sports Wagering in New York sounds like it's all but over and we'll be able to legally bet on our favorite teams and athletes sooner than later. However as Lee Corso would say "Not so fast my friend." Gambling Law and Sports Betting Expert Daniel Wallach walks us through the remaining issues and potential time table to legal sports betting in New York.

This seemed like a new episode of "Good News Bad News" while we spoke to Wallach. Basically the short of it seems to be we're about six months away from "Brick and Mortar" wagering. Meaning we in the 518 we'll be able to go to Rivers Casino and possibly Turning Stone to place our bets. The use of an APP or any online wagering could take far longer. Wallach believes it doesn't need an amendment to the state constitution but unfortunately Governor Coumo doesn't seem to agree. So online could take a while longer here in New York.
