Tulip Fest is May 12 & 13 2012 in Washington Park, Albany, New York

Every year for the past 64 years the city of Albany has celebrated our Dutch heritage through tulip Festival (or as it's better known Tulip Fest) when there are over 100,000 tulips in bloom throughout Washington Park, many springing from bulbs as old as the city.

Tulip Fest is FREE and open to the public (except the post street cleaning luncheon and the Tulip Ball which both have a fee) and for many Albany are families it's a Mother's Day tradition. Sunday is also the 14th annual Mother of the Year award.

The City of Albany has some ground rules including no alcohol (you can purchase it in the park), no glass containers, no pets, and some other general event rules.
