Wheelchair Stolen In Albany: What’s Wrong With People?

Credit: Harold Cunningham / Stringer

I don’t always get angry about news, but when I do, this is what does it.

I dare you not to be angry after learning about this. An Albany woman had warmed up her daughter’s wheelchair in her van, as she can’t be in the cold very long. After taking the wheelchair out, she went inside to get her daughter. When she came out, the wheelchair was gone.

Seriously? How low do you have to be to steal someone’s wheelchair? Those things aren’t cheap, but more importantly, they give the person some amount of freedom back.

Albany police are on the lookout, but if you know something, CBS 6 has the investigator phone number for you.
