Monday afternoon, we announced that Guns N Roses was coming to the Times Union Center on Thanksgiving Eve, November 23rd at 7:30pm.  Many questions started coming in to the Q103 studios such as "Is this a reunion show or is it just Axl?" "Will they be on time and actually show up?".  I'm sorry to say it is NOT a reunion show, so what can you expect?

First off, Slash won't be there nor will any other of the original line up except Axl Rose.  Check out some videos of the band at the Rock In Rio Festival performing Sunday night as well as the set list. You see Axl sporting some middle aged pudge, out of breath moments and somewhat out of sync.

GN'R headlined the final night of 2011 Rock In Rio Festival.  They took to the stage two hours late and performed 24 songs, that included solos, jams, and such classics as Welcome To The Jungle and Sweet Child O Mine.

The Set List:

‘Chinese Democracy’
‘Welcome To The Jungle’
‘It’s So Easy’
‘Mr. Brownstone’
‘Sorry’
Richard Fortus Solo
‘Live & Let Die’
‘Rocket Queen’
Instrumental Jam
‘This I Love’
DJ Ashba Solo
‘Sweet Child O’ Mine’
‘Estranged’
‘Better’
Dizzy Solo
‘Street Of Dreams’
‘You Could Be Mine’
Instrumental Jam
‘November Rain’
Bumblefoot Solo
‘Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door’
‘Nightrain’
‘Patience’
‘Paradise City’

GNR was once known as the world most dangerous rock band. It does bother me watching these video's that Slash and the original members are not part of this great band. Just imagine what it would be like today if they were! Axl was a smart business man to own the rights of the name and that's about all it resembles.

Guns N Roses is a final nominee to be inducted into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame in 2012. Rumor has it that's when the reunion will take place. I wish it was on November 23rd!
