If you haven't been to a Godsmack show you really haven't been to a rock show.  Godsmack is headlining the Q103 Q-Ruption Rock Festival with Five Finger Death Punch, Skillet, Sick Puppies and Egypt Central August 19th at SPAC.  Sully Erna, Godsmack frontman was asked what he thinks makes a great concert or performance and he is confident you will rock hard at Q-Ruption.

I truly believe in my heart that, pound for pound, Godsmack is one of the best live performances out there,We've spent the last 15 years performing. We are good at it, great at it.
Sully Erna

Godsmack was formed in 1995,  released 5 studio albums that contain 20 singles - a half-dozen of which hit No.1 on Billboard's mainstream rock charts and all of which made the Top 20. The singles alone are more a concert's worth of material.

One of the most popular rock bands in the world, Godsmack has sold 17 million albums. Its last three albums, 2003’s “Faceless,’’ 2006’s “IV’’ and last year’s “The Oracle,’’ debuted at No. 1.

I believe we can go up against anybody live, Foo Fighters, Rage Against The Machine, those guys are unbelievable live. They’re so good, so intense, so powerful. I think we’re that good. We take a lot of pride in what we do and put on the best show we can.
Sully Erna

According to Sully, the keys to a Godsmack show — or any great concert, is 100 percent commitment to the performance by all the band members and repetition, doing dozens of shows together and having enough songs to fill a 90-minute to two-hour show with no clunkers. Don't expect any new songs at the show either - Godsmack will keep you rocking with all familiar tunes.

Currently on tour with the Mayhem Festival, Godsmack will take a break from the tour to perform at the Q103 Q-Ruption.

We may even see the nasty drum battle.
