It’s the first day of Spring. Just ignore the snow on the ground, the snow that is coming, and the cold that surrounds us. Stand in the sun and listen to the birds chirp, look up at the blue sky and think of a song; not just any song but your Spring song.

I am bit conflicted about my Spring song this year because it does not feel much like Spring at all and I think that my Spring Song should be: Lenny Kravitz - Fly Away.

When I really think about it my Spring song is: Led Zeppelin - Immigrant Song.

Why the Immigrant Song?

Because when Winter ends and the spring air hits me I always feel like singing: We come from the land of the ice and snow, from the midnight sun, where hot showers flow…

Yeah hot showers because I like to be realistic and I have never experienced a hot spring, not even a cold spring, why? no one ever asked me and I never really had the desire.

Sitting water bugs me out, but I don’t know if a hot spring is considered sitting water.

Sometimes, I feel like my Spring song should be something off of the Clerks or Mallrats Soundtrack because those movies take place this time of year, but they take place in New Jersey and I like to avoid any vibe that comes from New Jersey. Writing that sentence made me feel dirty.

I am sticking with the Immigrant Song.

What is your Spring song?

And just in case you're wondering, I have looked outside and I picked this image to be a jerk.
