According to QSR Magazine, Wendy's is the fastest of all the fast foods but not the most accurate, but that's ok because some people love to complain more then they like to eat.

But that is not important, what is important is that yesterday I watched the original "Poltergeist" as part of my Festive Movie Marathon and they sure don't make them like they used to.

This movie is what dreams of 1982 are made of and after watching the original I don't think I need to see the remake because I love the cheesy special effects of the 1980's, but what is more important is that it's not "Poltergeist" without Zelda Rubinstein.

Is it just me or are the performances in movies by kids in the 1980's and early 1990's better then any other genre of film?

That scene where the little boy is screaming his sisters name in front of the TV and you can see the silhouette of his buckteeth still makes me smile, it distracts me from the terrible special effects, but not as much as Craig T. Nelson's trampy performance as the Dad in "Poltergeist."

I find it that "Poltergeist" is also the ultimate tease of a horror movie, because JoBeth Williams is always wearing skimpy shorts or a long shirt with no pants, there is even a scene where she is relaxing in the bathtub but she never gets naked. Then in the scene where she is laying in bed wearing nothing but a long shirt and underwear, the ghosts attempt to take off her shirt but she fights them off and you have to settle for watching her run around in her panties for ten minutes.

Fun Fact: In the last scene of the movie when the older daughter gets out of her dates car, she has hickeys on her neck, which I don't completely understand because of the scene in the beginning of the movie when she flicks off the cat calling construction workers.

Not so Fun Fact: Both actresses who played the daughters in the movie died young. Heather O'Rourke who played Carol Anne died at the age of 12 and Dominique Dunne who played the older sister with the hickeys died at the age of 22.

I give "Poltergeist" 5 out of 5 stars because I love Zelda and a half-naked JoBeth Williams crawling around in the mud, rain and corpses... I have issues.
