Wednesday, July 3: Tig's Rock Birthdays

Happy Birthday today (July 4) to Richie Scarlet. The guitarist for Ace Frehley’s band is 63. Other rockers celebrating include singer Mark Slaughter of Slaughter (54) and singer Michael Sweet of Stryper (55).

“The Emperor of Rock n Roll” Richie Scarlet is currently the guitarist in Ace Frehley’s band. In addition to his work with Ace Frehley, Scarlet has played with Leslie West and Mountain, Sebastian Bach of Skid Row, members of the Alice Cooper Group, Chubby Checker, and many others. I got to see Richie perform many times over the years and it's always a great time. He's become a good friend to me over the years along with his wife Joann.
