In lieu of a traditional 'Amazing Spider-Man 2' post-credits scene, Sony inserted a sneak peek of 'X-Men: Days of Future Past,' probably the closest thing we'll ever get to a cinematic feature film team-up between the web slinger and mutant supergroup. For those of you who went to see Spidey's latest adventure but didn't want to wait to see that 'X-Men' clip, today's your lucky day -- you can watch the sneak peek right here.

IGN debuted the 'Amazing Spider-Man 2' post-credits preview of 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' online, entitled "Who Are You?," which highlights a scene involving Mystique breaking out on her own to battle a younger William Stryker and help out some mutant army brats, including Havok and Toad. Of course, there's plenty more mutants and action to be seen, as both casts of the original 'X-Men' trilogy and the 'First Class' crew join forces.

For those needing a refresher, the scene came about as a result of 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' director Marc Webb's deal with Fox -- he was supposed to make another film for Fox Searchlight after '500 Days of Summer.' Fox, however, allowed him to direct 'Spider-Man 2' just as long as Sony included a preview for 'Days of Future Past.' And there you have it -- no secret Spider-Man-X-Men team-up or stinger for 'The Amazing Spider-Man 3.'

That said, if you stay till the end of 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' and use the Shazam app during the credits, you'll be offered a tease of the forthcoming Sinister Six, a villainous team consisting of Spidey's most dangerous adversaries and who will feature in an upcoming spinoff directed and written by Drew Goddard.
