Verdict Is–Early Spring

The groundhog did not see his shadow this morning, which means early spring!  I don't know if I quite believe him by the looks of things outside though.

Well Staten Island Chuck stepped out of his warm little groundhog home today to meet the crowds and sure enough, he did not see his shadow and run away.  This of course means that we should be seeing an early spring.  Personally I think that the groundhog is as accurate as some of these weather men.

Staten Island Chuck came out to greet the people of NYC and both him and Pennsylvania's Punxsutawney Phil both agree that winter should be ending early this year.  Don't look outside though, because as of right now winter is in full effect.  I think his lack of shadow may be caused by the fact that giant snow carrying clouds are currently blocking out the sun, but that's just me.
