Things are being kept pretty hush, hush in the Van Halen camp regarding the new album, but some information is getting out to the public.  According to the fan site Van Halen News Desk, the band has completed mixing the new album.

2007 was a good year for (most of) the original lineup of Van Halen.  They had a successful tour with David Lee Roth and that new positive attitude as transpired into them doing a new album together.  You just won't be seeing Michael Anthony on it, instead Eddie's son Wolfgang plays bass on the album just like he did on the 2007 tour.

This album will be the bands first work Roth in 27 years.  Needless to say, it's been a long time coming.  The band is keeping things pretty quiet about the album right now, and there is no news on a release date but the fact that they have finished mixing it is some good news.  Hopefully we will be able to hear it before the end of the year.
