The Lifetime Movie Network has announced that they are beginning production on a made for TV movie based on the 2015 prison escape of two murders from the Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora NY. Only this Lifetime movie is set to focus on the role of their accomplice Joyce Mitchell a prison worker who aided in the escape of the prisoners.

It's pretty well known that Lifetime tends take some liberties with their story lines in movies they make from headlines so we will have to wait to see how true to life this one turns out.

The made for TV movie is said to be titled "Prison Break: The Joyce Mitchell Story" and will star Penelope Ann Miller as Joyce Mitchell, Myk Watford as Richard Matt, and Joe Anderson will play David Sweat.

This story not only captivated all of Upstate New York (because hello, we live here and there were killers on the loose) but the nation for a good three weeks. So even though I assume that there will be some inaccuracies and will probably be inevitably cheesy there is a strong possibility I'll give it a watch at some point.

What do you think? Will you be anxiously anticipating this one?
