UPDATE On New Deftones Album And Tour!

Looks like it's coming a little later than we had originally hoped ... Blabbermouth has transcribed and interview that Deftones guitarist Stephen Carpenter gave from this years NAMM in Anaheim where he reveled a album release date.

"[We're] sitting around waiting for the release of our new record. It comes out April 8th. We have some dates in Texas in March, in May-June we're off to Europe for some festivals out there. We'll play for all the people who are interested and want to hear it."

Will the band be stopping at SXSW this year? Could a bigger tour lie ahead? Looks like only time will tell!! Feel free to check out the first round of Deftones rumors below!

Supposedly a foreign journalist has let the cat out of the bag

Let me preface this post by saying there is a huge possibility that this information might not be correct.

However, the peeps over at Metal Injection have come across what could possibly be some serious details on the new Deftones record.

We do know is that the band have recorded and mixed a new album. Originally, they were trying to get it out in November of 2015 but since that obviously did not happen Chino Moreno gave BBC Radio an update saying:

Well yesterday [November 7] we actually finished the last mix, or at least approved the last mix, so now it's just time to sequence the songs and master them and we should be done. So aside from artwork still is something that we're working on, but we're making progress with that. Album title close, but not all the way there yet, and song titles as well. But that's usually the stuff that's the sort of the last stuff to come together. But as far as the music, it's done, it's sounding good and we're excited about it.

Now if this screen shot is legit this could be the latest news on the name and arrival of a new album! It looks like the album might just be called "Gore" & be released on March 18th!?! It even offers a few titles to some of the tracks on the album. Again, nothing has been confirmed by anyone who has the capability to do that as of yet, but we'll be sure to keep ya posted as soon as anything is!
