New York Jets strength and conditioning coach Sal Alosi was suspended indefinitely on Wednesday after the team had learned he ordered players stand on the sideline as a "wall".

Apparently this was more than just a simple stick out your knee and trip up a player move.  NY Jet players told Jets owner Mike Tannenbaum that Alosi had them line up near the sideline as a wall during the Dolphins kick off, and some say this wasn't the first time he had done this.

Originally the Jets had suspended Alosi for the remainder of the 2010-2011 season without pay.  After learning the new information the Jets decided to take more action.

Over the last day as we continued our investigation we discovered some new information. The players at the Miami game were instructed by Sal to stand where they were forcing the gunner in the game to run around them. Based on that new information we've suspended Sal indefinitely, pending further review.

Jets tight end Jeff Cumberland said that Alosi had them lining up on the side all season long, but never told them why.  I can't believe that an NFL Coach would stoop this low in trying to injure an opposing teams player.  No excuse for something like this and I commend the Jets for taking action instead of dancing around the issue.
