UAlbany Lady Danes One Win From Dancing

The University of Albany Women's Basketball team (22-9) are one win away from dancing at the NCAA Tournament.   After Boston University was upset , the Lady Danes are the highest remaining seed left in the America East Tournament.  The championship game is Saturday night 8pm at SEFCU Arena on the UAlbany campus vs UMBC.  The winner gets the automatic bid.

The University of Albany women's team like their chances as they are now the favorite to win the America East.  The team hasn't lost in February or March winning the last nine games in a row and have beaten UMBC (Maryland Baltimore County) in both meetings this season.

The 22-9 record is the most in school history since going to Division 1 in 1999. It is also Coach Katie Abrahamson-Henderson's 2nd season as coach.

The team really would like the local support and wants to pack the SEFCU arena Saturday night. Tickets for the game are still available and can be purchased at www.americaeast.com. The game will be covered on ESPN3.
