Downtown Schenectady and Albany's Lark Street are the original homes of the very popular Bombers Burrito Bar. They bring in so much business from local residents that a third restaurant is set to open in Troy. Future trivia location? Possibly!

According to the Times Union article, restaurant representatives are proposing to occupy a building that's located at 2 King St. Bombers owner Matt Baumgartner confirmed this news, however if the proposal is approved, he will not be the owner of the third location. No news of who the Troy owner will be have been announced.

The proposal for the new Bombers is scheduled to take place on June 16's meeting of the city's planning board. The Schenectady firm that designed their Bombers is C2 Design and Architecture, and they will be the applicants at the proposal meeting.

The new burrito bar could be a very positive start to the revitalization of Troy's King St., as it has been vacated by mostly empty buildings for a long time. It strives to become more live the lively and popular River St., which is just a block away.

We’re really excited about that block in particular, said Vic Christopher, the city’s coordinator of economic development. When you come across the Green Island Bridge, it’s really the first thing you see. It’s a key gateway visually to the city of Troy.
