The City of Troy has introduced a new interactive map that allows residents to see and read about reported crimes to the police department.

RAIDS ONLINE is the software that can be accessed on the web here and allows users to set their own dates ranges to see possible crimes in any area of the city.

All crimes that are reported will post to the site on a 72-hour delay to give investigators a chance to look at the crime without any hindering.

Troy is only one of two cities in New York state using this technology with possibly more to follow suite soon.

My hometown of Youngstown, OH is using the interactive map software and needless to say, my hometown has some issues.
