St. Basil's Troy Greek Festival is taking place this weekend (June 1, 2 and 3) in Troy, NY.

The 24th annual Troy Greek Festival at St. Basil Greek Orthodox Church is an ethnic celebration of authentic Greek food, music and dance in Troy. The three-day family event is made possible by volunteers from the St. Basil community and it's rain or shine. Homemade dishes offered include souvlaki, moussaka, lamb with potatoes and pastichio along with vegetarian dishes like stuffed peppers and spinach pie. Ice cream and other desserts will also be made available. Live music and other entertainment will be part of the event along with the Greek Bazaar with craft vendors. Admission and parking is free and the festival hours are Friday 5-10pm, Saturday Noon-10pm, and Sunday Noon-5pm.

This looks like a fun, free thing to do this coming weekend. If you would like more info, check out the official St. Basil Greek Festival website here.
