Trent Reznor Gets Oscar Nomination

Trent Reznor and co-composer Atticus Ross have been nominated for Best Original Score for their soundtrack to The Social Network. The duo recently won four Golden Globe awards this month, and now will have eight nominations for the Oscars with their contributions.

When asked about being a nominee Trent responded “When David (Fincher) approached us to write the score for The Social Network we were intrigued and excited to see what we could bring to the project – but truly couldn’t imagine it would lead to an Oscar nomination.  We are extremely grateful to the Academy and very proud to have contributed to David’s vision.” Trent sure has come a long way from he refers to as "Smalltown, USA"
