Trademarks Filed for No One Lives Forever Franchise

The critically acclaimed gameplay of the spy-parodying No One Lives Forever series could be coming back from the shadows for another mission.

According to Siliconera, No One Lives Forever, The Operative, Contract J.A.C.K. and A Spy in H.A.R.M.'s Way, have all had their trademarks recently filed by Night Dive Studios. This would suggest some form of remake, re-release or a new HD collection of the series is on the way. Fans of System Shock 2 should recognize Night Dive for recently bringing the survival horror cult classic over to Steam. The rights to this espionage-oriented, FPS franchise were originally held by series publisher, Fox Interactive. Its rights were then purchased by Vivendi, which was assimilated into Activision.

While the rights to its name was passed from company to company, the No One Lives Forever series began to fall into obscurity. Hopefully Night Dive will successfully resurrect this hilarious, yet awesome-playing, farce of both spy films and first-person shooters.

Stephen Kick, CEO of Night Dive Studios, issued the following statement to Siliconera: “At this time we are unable to comment on future plans. I would like to add that our team has a great fondness for these games and our hope is that they will one day be re-released.”
