As a life long Yankee fan, I was thrilled when I got the chance to tour the new Yankee Stadium last week.  I was fortunate enough to tour the old stadium before it was torn down and the new stadium tour was equally amazing.  For less than the price of some game tickets, you can have the shot to do something not many fans can say - you can sit in the dug out!

The Yankee Stadium tours do go year round.  The Yanks offer several times per day that you can take the tour as well, so it's pretty easy to fit a tour into your day.  The tours do seem to sell out quickly during the season so if you're interested, you may want to purchase a few tickets now!

There are several options you can choose as well. You can add a lunch at NYY Steak or the Hard Rock Cafe, you can go as a group or purchase individual tickets.  Just an individual tour, sans lunch, the price is only roughly $25.70.  For less than some tickets to the game, you can learn some Yankee history and go where few fans have gone!  Side note - ol' Monte ate at the Hard Rock and I give it an A+.

In the old stadium, I was able to go inside the club house!  I ventured up to the broadcast booth and had a message put on the score board.  Earlier this week, at the new stadium, I didn't get to do that.  However, I was able to go into the Yankees museum, onto the field, into monument park and in the Yankees dugout for plenty of photos!  Just read the directions and instructions carefully.  Some parts of the tour are dependant on game times, weather, etc.  Perhaps you can go in the off-season and make a day trip to NYC or maybe go early before a game you might want to see.  Check out some of my pics!  Have you don the tour yourself?
