Axl Rose took the #1 spot on MusicRadar.com's  list as voted on by music fans and musicians.  Some surprises on it and some well deserving singers left off.

This list kind of has me thrown a little bit with Axl taking top honors over the likes of Robert Plant(#3) and Roger Daltrey who didn't even crack the top 10.  Now there is an insult to rock music.  Daltrey has one of rocks most powerful voices and let his monster scream in the middle of "Won't get Fooled Again" be the prime example.  I do enjoy Guns N' Roses and they are one of my all time favorite bands, but Axl as the #1 lead singer of all time?  I don't think so.

For the most part I agree with the people on the list, it's just their placement that gets me.  How can you put Thome Yorke(Radiohead) ahead of Jim Morrison or Stevie Nicks, both placed far to low.  I am happy my man Bruce Dickenson cracked into the top 10, but where is Rob Halford? The Priest front man has one of the most impressive vocal ranges of all time, and he isn't even on here? No Brian Johnson, no Chris Cornell and how about Ann Wilson?  Crazy.
