Although their start has been a bit of a tumultuous one, it appears to be onward and upward for Queensryche in 2013. Getting the ball rolling, the band just inked a new deal with Century Media Records. With a tentative release date of June 11, their new disc will mark the first recorded and delivered by the latest lineup featuring new singer Todd La Torre. The vocalist replaced original singer Geoff Tate, who is now manning his own incarnation of the band.

Queensryche bassist Eddie Jackson weighed in on the band’s new home with Century Media, saying, “Queensryche is excited to begin writing this next chapter of our career with Century Media. Their passion and love for music has been apparent since early discussions and we are pleased to call them partners on this journey.”

He continued, sharing his gratitude towards their loyal following, stating, "We are also thankful for all of the fans who have supported us from day one and helped us get to where we are today. Todd, Scott, Parker, Michael and I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for each and every one of you."

For fans anxious to hear the new sound of Queensryche, the band offered up a first listen of their new material on the Eddie Trunk show a few weeks ago (Feb. 22), check it out here for a taste of what's in store.

Queensryche are currently gearing up to kick off their ‘Return to History World Tour’ on Tuesday (March 5) in Dubuque, Iowa, with dates taking them on 23 stops throughout several countries before wrapping up on April 26 in the Netherlands. In addition to their world tour, Queensryche will be getting their feet wet on the high seas, taking part in the 2013 Monsters of Rock Cruise in addition to the Sweden Rock Cruise.

Meanwhile, Geoff Tate's incarnation of Queensryche is launching their own tour in April.
