Today I Found Out About The Chapman Stick

This could be my new favorite instrument.

There are so many musical instruments. Rock is very used to guitars and bass', and even those have their own sub genres, like the 12 string guitar. The bass is a bass guitar. I guess it's only natural that eventually someone merged a guitar and a bass into one instrument, but how am I just finding out about this now?

It's called a Chapman stick. It's both a bass and a guitar, yet there is no strumming involved. The whole thing is played with hammers or fret boarding. I'm not sure I'm actually nimble enough to make this happen. I also feel like Zakk Wylde would be a monster on this thing.
